• Javascript spam due to firefix vulnerability

  As reported by The Register some Firefox script vulnerability forces unwanted IRC connections when exploited. EFnet`s server software blocks these types of requests sent by the browser so there is no disruptions for our users.

  EFnet has granted efnet.multiplay.co.uk a trial link to the European portion of the network. The server is admined by Pumpkin and JamesOff and is open for anyone to connect

• EFnet mourns the loss of Marc Casillo aka frash

  Anchorage AK - We are saddened to announce that Marc Casillo aka frash peacefully passed away in his sleep in the early hours of Monday, September 28, 2009. Frash has been an operator on EFnet since the mid-90s on irc.texas.net, irc.torix.ca, irc.magic.ca, irc.mindspring.com, irc.voicenet.com, and many others. He is survived by his wife "Kiaara" aka Sandi Casillo and her son. He was 38 years old. Pay your respects in #frash. More info at www.frashii.com

  It has been a bad month for servers on efnet, as the third one now announces it`s delink. The sponsor of irc.dks.ca has decided to pull the link after 6 years on EFnet.
